Brow Lift

A brow lift can “open” your eyes and provide that refreshed look.  The eyebrows and forehead speak volumes in terms of facial expression.  Aging around this area of the face can cause those facial cues to be misread.  For example, a resting face may appear angry or tired.  Other problems caused by aging include wrinkles, a sagging forehead and eyebrows, hooded eyelids and uneven or asymmetric brows.

By choosing a brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, horizontal wrinkles on the forehead and frown lines between brows are improved.  As the brows are slightly elevated, it allows for the drooping skin above the eye to be lifted creating a more vibrant and alert expression.

Many times a brow lift is done in combination with other procedures such as a facelift or eyelid surgery.  The outpatient procedure can take one or two hours with general anesthesia or a local anesthesia with sedation.  Most patients are back to work in seven to ten days.
